Chelsea Grin/Smile

So... I decided to create a Chelsea Grin. It took me about half an hour? to make it, not too long, and it wasn't particularly hard either. I am very happy with the results :D
I didn't want to wash it off :(

I've got a secret, it's on the tip of my tongue, it's on the back of my lungs and I'm gonna keep it. I know something you don't know. OH!
I apologise for the short blogs, I haven't really got much to say.
And I think I'll keep my font larger, I don't like how it looks, but it's easier to read.

Brick By Boring Brick

Two posts a day for the past two days!
I'm becoming obsessed with taking photos....

She lives in a fairy tale
Somewhere too far for us to find
Forgotten the taste and smell
Of the world that she's left behind
It's all about the exposure the lens I told herThe angles were all wrong now
She's ripping wings off of butterflies

Keep your feet on the ground
When your head's in the clouds

Well go get your shovel
And we'll dig a deep hole
To bury the castle, bury the castle
Ba da ba da ba

So one day he found her crying
Coiled up on the dirty ground
Her prince finally came to save her
And the rest you can figure out
But it was a trick
And the clock struck 12
Well make sure to build your house brick by boring brick
or the wolves gonna blow it down

Keep your feet on the ground
When your head's in the clouds

Well go get your shovel
And we'll dig a deep hole
To bury the castle, bury the castle

woah woah

Well you built up a world of magic
Because your real life is tragic
Yeah you built up a world of magic
If it's not real
You can't hold it in your hand
You can't feel it with your heart
And I won't believe it
But if it's true
You can see it with your eyes
Even in the dark
And that's where I want to be, yeah

Go get your shovel
We'll dig a deep hole
To bury the castle, bury the castle
Ba da ba da ba...

Paramore - the band that I would truly not be able to live without. My obsession. Their music has inspired me, and helped me through many situations. I have been a massive fan for 4 years now, and last year had the chance to meet them - it was the most amazing day of my life, they were all so kind and sweet and ugh, just amazing - though I was shocked at Hayleys height. Hayley is one of my role models, she's so strong, and I really admire her. Jeremy and Taylor are just the sweetest/coolest people ever.
I'm rather devestated that Josh and Zac left, but I respect their decision and they had their reasons. I can't wait to hear what the 'new' Paramore sounds like.

aw ♥

Lest We Forget ♥

ANZAC Day - Lest We Forget.
Woke up at 5:30 AM to go to the dawn service, which we thought was at 6, but actually started at 5:30, so we missed the first half of the service. I was surprised at how many people were there, I've never been to an ANZAC Day service before. After the crowds had cleared I attempted to take photos, but felt a bit weird doing so, as I needed my flash on to get decent photos, and I felt like a constant flash going off would seem disrespectful. I met a lovely old man while I was taking photos though, he was wearing medals, and explaned what each of the tiles on the memorial statue represented.
My photos aren't that brilliant.
That's my dad in the last two photos. He was driving.

Tiggy

I decided to go take photos. I decided theres no point looking through other peoples work when I could be creating my own. I've been wanting to create something like this for a while now, and FINALLY did it :D
Excuse my weird looking hair, I haven't brushed it at all today, I just shoved some clothes on and took these photos.

Rain & self doubt.

I woke up to the sweet smell and silent pitter of rain this morning, it was quiet lovely. I jumped out of bed and ran outside camera in hand, and sat down on the road and took photos. I love rain, it's so refreshing. It's easter today, and I can already feel my waistline bulging from the excessive amounts of chocolate I have eaten. Woops.
I'm currently trolling through Lookbook, admiring the work of others. I always feel as though my photos aren't that good when I look at other peoples images, I guess everyone must feel that way though, but I can't help but feel as though mine aren't good enough for me to refer to myself as a photographer. Oh well, the reason I set up this blog was because I wanted to improve my photography, so eh. Practice makes perfect.

Collection

These are some photos I have been meaning to upload. I dyed my hair the other day, I like it.
My friend started vlogging as well, you should check out her channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Historyistomorrow?feature=mhum
I just watched her first vlog, she is adorable, we might start vlogging together.
EASTER! is this sunday....I'm so not prepared. I'm still sick - still on antibiotics. I'm trying to fit as much information in here as possible in the shortest amount of time as my mum is trying to kick me off the computer.
Also, I uploaded more photos onto my Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/ash-marc
I was going to upload them in this blog, but some of them were vertical while others were horizontal, so just click on my link to my Flickr account.

Heart.

I don't know why the second picture looks fuzzy and weird, it just decided to upload that way.
Music is what inspired this photo. The lyrics are from 'Blessed With a Curse' by Bring Me The Horizon.

Yes, it's a real heart - a sheep heart. I got it for free from the local butcher.
I made the blood as well - from ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard and red food colouring.
It was a really fun photo to shoot, I got to make a mess and had heaps of people helping me out.
Props to Reece for holding the heart.

I didn't originally have the watermark - if you could call it that ahaha, it's just my name in the corner of the photo, on the second photo (the one with the lyrics on it) But then I got scared of people taking my photo and saying it's theirs, so yeah, that's why the watermark went on there.
AND just click on the images to see them in a non fuzzy state. :)

Cuppa Tea.

I'm sick.
I have another throat infection, which means that I am unable to eat, drink or talk. I hate being sick.
I made myself a cuppa, only to realise the milk I used was 'off'
I'm annoyed, cos it looked really nice and I could do with a cuppa at the moment. Guess I'll have to go make another one.
Mum made me a protein shake this morning - it was REALLY nice. I love my mum ♥
I wish I could make that photo a bit bigger as well, and I can, it just overlaps everything else on the page, I need to fix that :s

Parents music collection.

My assignment for photograpy is due at the end of this term and I only had 3 photos ready to hand in, and I had been wanting to  raid my Mum and Dads music collection and take photos of it. I was pleasantly surprised at some of their music. I knew most of the bands/people in their collection, which was full of KISS records - my mum loved them.  There were some odd looking records in there though - by people I hadn't even known existed, and when I asked Mum she had no idea who they were either. Must have been Dad's stuff...
It made me realise how different the music is today. Back then 'heavy' stuff would have been KISS, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Nowadays, what I would personally refer to as 'heavy' is Bring Me The Horizon, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive and A Day to Remember. Actually ADTR isn't that heavy, well, their latest album 'What Seperates Me From You' (GREAT album, go buy it) is a little heavier than their previous album ('Homesick') but has more of a pop-punk feel to it. If you compare KISS, Deep Purple & Black Sabbath to the bands mentioned above, previous generations of 'heavy' music wouldn't fit into the 'heavy' catagory of today.
ANYWAY. I have been obsessed with BMTH's album 'There Is a Hell, Believe Me, I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Lets Keep It a Secret' - such a good album (in my opinion)

I've been dreaming of us leaving everything and everyone we've ever known.
I've been thinking all these visions must be a sign, so hold on and don't let go. - Visions.

I know I said my heart beats for you. I was lying girl, it beats for two. - Blessed With a Curse.

Those are just some of my favourite lyrics off that album. You should listen to it. Its amazing ♥

Good O'l Stew!

This is my friend Georgia & I - we have many inside jokes, such as this one "Good o'l Stew!"
She sent me a bunch of photos she had taken of herself & her pets,  and asked my to put them together like this ^^
Love you Georgia!

Don't Go

Finally managed to take some photos!
I'm very pleased with them, the one of the bird especially.

My cousin told me about photoscape and I have been using it to create a film effect on my photos lately - I'm addicted.
That's my dog, Tiggy, in the last photo - it looks like I'm holding her down, but she looks so adorable in this photo ♥
